Off-Road Vehicle Use Banned in Forested Areas with High Fire Hazard Index

The provincial government has implemented an immediate ban on the use of all off-road vehicles in forested areas where the Fire Hazard Index is High — this includes our region.

🛑 The ban applies to:

  • ATVs (All-Terrain Vehicles)

  • Side-by-sides

  • Mini-bikes & Dirt bikes

  • Trail bikes

  • Miniature vehicles (e.g., dune buggies, sport buggies)

  • Off-road maintenance machinery

  • Amphibious vehicles

📆 Duration:
This restriction is in place until Sunday, August 17, at which point the situation will be reassessed.

🔥 Why?
Due to the extreme wildfire risk, the province cannot afford any additional fire starts. This precaution is necessary to protect our communities, resources, and first responders.

Please respect the ban and help reduce the risk.
Stay safe and stay informed.
